Direct quotations, of course, are set in quotation marks, with a general indication of the source (the name of the author and the title of the work). The brief, daily saint’s notices are quoted from The New Roman Missal by Fr. F. X. Lasance, (cited as NRM).

For general information, I usually consult The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913 edition, published online at New Advent.
